D-CRISP Project

Digital twins to support civil risk awareness and societal preparedness

About

The D-CRISP project is funded under the Antagonistic threats challenging societal security in the Nordic and Baltic countries call by NordForsk. It is a 4-years project starting on the 1st of March, 2026 and lasting up until the 28th of February, 2030.

The project aims to develop integrated solutions based on digital twins from multiple domains (such as public infrastructure, logistics, power grids, and production systems) to improve awareness of civil risks and strengthen societal preparedness. Digital twins act as "eyes" to observe complex systems, rapidly detect anomalies, and support early identification of antagonistic threats—both cyber and physical. The project focuses on modelling and integrating digital twins with human decision-making to prevent and mitigate threats in real time.
